Bike 4 Life

Getting fit and being less reliant on our cars was just one of our New Year’s Resolutions. And we’re doing it. We even rode up to a meeting yesterday.

Our bikes are now a regular feature in the office. As are red faces, sweaty backs and the ever-present fragrance of Sure for Men.

Three new clients

NHS Doncaster latest annual report

PepperTree has designed and printed the NHS Doncaster annual report, in next to no time too. Light, bright and easy to navigate, we think it turned out great. Client and the executive board think so too. We are looking forward to more projects in 2011.

We’ve been checked, our clients have been questioned and the results are in. We’re pleased to say that PepperTree is now on the Recommended Agency Register. Which means we meet the criteria across categories such as creativity, service and value for money. Our clients already knew that, but it’s nice when someone else tells you too.

Sixth sense

We recently won the design of Hill House School’s new sixth form prospectus after we were chosen from nine creative submissions.
Hill House was founded in 1912, is independently run, now residing on the former RAF Finningley Officers quarters in Doncaster. Plans for the new Sixth include some innovative ideas for which we are really excited to be involved with. The picture shows Stu doing his homework with a pre-photo shoot reccy.

Where’s the value?

At a time when spending cuts are headline news, all of us from Government ministers down are facing the same question. Where’s the value?

It’s a big question and for an agency with a client list dominated by public sector clients, one that’s of particular interest to us. But here’s the funny bit, it’s one we relish. You see, the more-for-less approach is something we do, something we’ve always done and something that our clients trust us to deliver day in, day out.

How we do it is pretty easy to see too.

PepperTree was created to offer clients big agency strategic and creative thinking, but with the benefits and personal involvement of a small, nimble agency. We’re established and run by creative people. Therefore our creative product is our biggest passion. And crucially in the ‘where’s the value’ debate, we place effectiveness above all else. Being a small agency, there’s an obvious value story there, but the issue is bigger than that, adding value is a natural outcome of the way we work. A fact not lost on some of our long standing clients. For a small agency, we have attracted some big clients including South Yorkshire Police, BHF, Business Link Yorkshire, Sheffield City Council, HMCS, Doncaster NHS and South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue. So, as communication budgets funded from the public purse are been scrutinised in fine detail, we welcome with open arms any debate prepared to get to the nitty-gritty of the value issue. And we’re not talking about knocking 10% off this invoice, and hiding it on the next. Nor do we intend to run at a loss. After all, we can only be of value to our clients if we’re there when they need us.

The habits, system and ethos that are an intrinsic part of the agency consistently deliver best value, effective and engaging communication.

So, back the original question. Where’s the value.
Well, it’s where it’s always been.
